SWFC CONTINUE THIER UNBEATEN RUN!
Wednesday managed to maintain thier unbeaten run at home to port vale with a hard though victory against port vale.
Paul Sturrock had one enforced change replacing the injured Matt Hamshaw with Chris Brunt.
Wednesday's lowest league attendance of the season (due to SKY Tv broadcasting the match). An atttendance of 18465 was recorded (still not bad).
The game was not a pretty one, and at times was very scrappy, the game was set apart from an Awesome 25 Yarder by super striker Steve Mclean, Port Vale backed off of him and before they could get in a tackle, Mclean an unleashed a curling 25 yard shot, that beat the Port Vale Goalkeeper Johnathan Brain who was way off of his line.
Vale threatend little and appart from a cross that shaved the bar and a couple of unsuccesfull throw ins they had very little to offer, owls Keeper David Lucas was not called upon often therefore having an easy game.
Overall, another solid game by wednesday, a game that they would have probably drawn or lost a few months ago, Wednesday now lie in 4th place 7 points behind the automatic promotion spots.
